Is there an option for pre-screening candidates?

Learn about the pre-screening option and how it works for candidate selection.

Updated over 4 months ago

Our platform offers a "Qualifying Questions" option where you can create pre-screening questions, such as years of experience, and set preset answers.

This feature ensures that only candidates who meet or exceed your preset criteria can proceed to the main assessment. It helps filter out unsuitable candidates early, reducing time and resource wastage.

  1. Navigate to the Interview Configuration section

After uploading the JD and selecting your questions, navigate to the "interview configuration" section.

  2. Qualifying Questions:

On this page, find the option for Qualifying questions and click on it.

  3. Adding Questions:

Fill it in to add your personalized questions. For example, you can ask about years of experience.

  4. Response Types:

    • Yes/No: Use this for binary questions, such as "Do you have experience with React JS?"

    • Numeric: Ideal for questions requiring a numerical answer, such as
"How many years of experience do you have with React JS?"

You can set minimum or specific numeric thresholds, like "Minimum 5 years".

Enter all details and click "Add Question".

You can also add it as a "must-have qualification" without which they won't be able to proceed.

And that's it you have successfully added a qualifying question.
